We offer a variety of treatment designed to meet your special needs, including individual adult therapy, child and adolescent therapy, couples therapy and family therapy.  Psychological evaluations (Workers Compensation, forensic and Immigration) evaluations and assessments are also available.

At your first session, you and your licensed therapist will agree on a treatment plan and set goals for treatment. During this evaluation, we’ll look carefully at your strengths and individual needs and then develop a treatment plan that leverages these strengths as the building blocks for success.

For children and adolescents and depending on the initial assessment and specific needs of our child, your child may recieve a combination of individual and family therapy, where you might be asked to participate in the therapy session(s).  The common goal of these therapies is to help resolve the emotional and behavioral issues that can cause significant stress and hinder your child’s ability to function at home, at school, with peers, or in the community.

Individual, Child & Adolescent, and Family Therapy

The first step in treatment begins with a thorough assessment with one of our licensed therapists.

Our therapists have extensive experience working with children, adolescents, and their families.

Couples Therapy

Couples and marriage therapy is offered to support people in a relationship who may be experiencing difficulty with communcation, chronic conflict and other unhealthy patterns of interaction.  Others may be considering separation or seeking improved intimacy and understanding.

Although couples counseling is recommended as soon as discontent arises in a relationship, studies show that on average, partners will not seek therapy until they have struggled for 6 years. However, as more time passes, the more difficult it may be to repair the relationship. In some cases, a couple who has already decided to separate may pursue therapy in order to end the relationship amicably and respectfully.

Psychological Assessment and Testing

At The Greenleaf Center we also provide psychological testing and assessments for a variety of needs.  Testing at times can assist in clarifying a diagnosis and other difficulties.  Common testing includes ADHD, learning disabilities and general intellectual functioning.  Other, more specialized psychological assessments can also be provided depending on your needs.

For ADHD, computerized testing is recommended, as a more objective measure of an individuals ability to attend and focus, as opposed to typical paper and pencil measures often completed by teachers or parents and which are vulnerable to subjective reporting.
